For whatever reason the GPS on my phone wasn’t cooperating tonight so it didn’t fully track my ride.  Here is the data I have:

Part 1
Distance: 0.00mi
time: 44:14
pace: N/A
speed: 0.00mi/h.

Part 2:
Distance: 19.47mi
time: 02:10:43
pace: 6:43min/mi
speed: 8.94mi/h.

I still had a lot of fun but it was a pretty long ride! almost 30 miles! I think its the longest ride I have done this season.  Brent was kind enough to lend me his GPS data, which although not perfect is a good indicator of the overall ride.  Brent rides farther then me so I think this overstates my ride by 5-7 miles.

Saw 3 skunks tonight, all after the GoPro died.  The last one was just me and the skunk on a bridge and it lunged at me – totally thought I was gonna get sprayed with that one!!  Also saw lots of frogs (I don’t remember this many last year) and a couple of chipmunks.  One even lost his nuts!  Other than that we were just being our usual silly selves!

I am not sure if the world is bigger or smaller than I think it is.  When I started out today, I said to myself that I didn’t want to ride as far and Brent and I did on Sunday – I just wanted to do a short ride.  So I decided to ride to the end of this trail and when I got there I discovered a little used 2 wheel path.  I still didn’t want to ride far but decided to follow the trail for a bit and see where it led.  In less than a mile I was suddenly where I didn’t want to ride to – the location that in my mind was so far away!

All in all it was a great ride and I enjoyed exploring a new path, as well as finding out you are never as far away as you think you are 🙂

Oh and checkout my new hat! You can’t call yourself a connoisseur of hats with out a baseball cap so decided to ads one to my collection.  It has a strawberry on it!

Beautiful Sunday ride with Brent up to a canoe launch.  On the way we passed another selfie stop…you know what we had to do!  Also finally got a GoPro so expect to be bombarded with videos in the future!

Brent and I went on our usual Thursday group ride but this time we also decided to ride there and back! I believe Brent has done this before and I ride there a few weeks ago before the ride was rained out but this was the first time I did the whole round trip including the group ride!. About 30 miles and I felt pretty great afterwards! Looking forward to next week and I hope to do it again!

Something a bit different!

Distance: 0.60mi

Went on a walk with The Other today instead of a ride die to stome unexpected schedule changes.   It was nice! We walked up to the local park and like any adult I decided to play on the equipment.

I also found a Little Library at the park which made me so excited! In some neighborhoods there are a lot of controversy over these but I haven’t heard any complaints in my neighborhood.  I have a hard time letting go of my old books but I think I am going to find a few to donate to this worthy cause.
