Closer to a mile but I was too excited to ride away so I forgot to start my tracker. So much fun but apparently my basement workouts have been doing nothing because that mile wore me out!
So excited to get out again but want to get some proper cold weather gear (namely a balaclava) so I don’t hurt myself. This changes everything!

No ride tonight as the weather wasn’t the greatest (Brent and I actually rode then in a drizzle) and one of the usual riding members was injured. So instead after Brent and I rode to the bike shop we headed right over for Chili!!! I don’t like to ride with a big belly (insert fat joke here) so I got Berries and Cream which was super delicious. But then again I am a woodland fairy so thing like berries and cream and super sweet fruity tea is right up my alley 🙂
I have been wanting to do something fun (and pink) with my hair for a while and I finally did it. I had a wonderful stylist who is very familar with fashion colors (her own hair was beautiful) and did a great job of understanding what I want, what would work and even did research before I arrived to make sure the end result looked fantastic!!
I told her I wanted it to look “natural” as much as pink hair can look natural and I think she hit the mark blending it into my normal hair. Fashion colors fade pretty fast (I will have to go every 2-3 weeks for touch ups) but the way its layered in even when it does fade it will still look good. Which is great cause I am a pretty low-maintenance kinda girl. The other great part of how she worked it in is that it looks better with waves or curls so its easy for me to let my hair air dry and my usually annoying waves actually work for me instead of against me!!
So I finally bit the bullet and bough a Vitamix. Let me tell you its just as great as everyone says. It crushes ice like a Yeti making sno cones.
I have spend the last week having a delicious fruit smoothie for breakfast and its really helping to start my day off right. I will also admit to making some “adult beverages” in it and they were amazing. I might even have to have a frosty drink themed party!

I know there are other things it says you can do with it (make soup, use it as a food processor, etc) but I just wanted a good blender that can crush and blend frozen fruits and ice without whining about it. This totally does the job!

We went to Bristol Renaissance Faire yesterday. It was hot, then rainy, but still a ton of fun. I was in costume so I felt google glass wasn’t “period appropriate” but luckily I had my manservant available to document our journey. Last week I turned 35 – whoo-hoo! It was an awesome week. I ate junk food, I got presents, I did what I wanted! I have been celebrating Birthday Week for as long as I can remember but this by far was the best one yet.
On my birthday-birthday, The Other got me a Starbucks chai for breakfast. We then went out to Bulldog’s (A local burger joint) for lunch. It was good – my new second favorite local burger joint :). We then went to Cacao Sweets and Treats for a smores bar – which is literally what I think heaven tastes like! (check them out!: www.cacaosweetsandtreats.com) The Other and I made our way down to the local game shop where he bought me a Unicorn figure. This was an ultimate gesture of love since The Other is team pegasus. Love knows no bounds…
My family and birthday-buddy were all variously out of town on my actual birthday so we celebrated on Saturday by going to Medieval Times. I dressed up like the princess I am and had a wonderful time! Our knight didn’t win, but I was asked to pose with a little girl for a picture – so yay ego boost!
We were generally rowdy and misbehaved but we had fun and that’s all that counts. Can’t wait for next year!

Last night I was feeling a bit stressed out from work so I decided to snuggled Pothole for a little bit, because, as the saying goes:
She was on my bed so I laid next to her, and the heated pad was on so I dozed off for a little bit.
And I swear, as my head laid next to hers, I DREAMED HER DREAMS!

So as you can tell I decided to move to WordPress – so far so good. I got it installed and a template picked and most of the options setup – yay! I also got all the old posts transferred over and am going to start working on the replys. I think I can do this just by posting as a guest and using your emails – so don’t be surprised if you appear on this site but don’t remember visiting here before 🙂
I have some posts ready to go so once I finish the transition there should be a goodly amount of new and exciting material to read. I also think WordPress will be an easier medium going forward so it won’t be that difficult to keep up on new posts. I configured an email-to-post addon too so I am excited to try it out! I am also looking into a facebook connector so when I do get a new post up it will automatically update my facebook status. For now you can subscribe to the RSS feed so you will never miss one of my genius thoughts!
I wanted a good picture for this first post on the new site – one that really defines “me” so obviously I searched for “Unicorn and Cats” and there are a surprising amount of cat + unicorn pictures on the internet. I couldn’t pick just one so I hope you enjoy the mini gallery of this post. Also – let me know what you think of the awesome screw-like horn on the Unicorn below. Those two are obviously a Pegasus-killing team!! Go Team Kittycorn!
I have some new blogs ready to post but I have been holding off while I make a decision about this site.
I’m thinking of moving this blog from SMF (which is an awesome message board system) to WordPress which from what I hear from friends is great for straight blogging – which is more of what I do here anyway. It should allow me to keep the site more up to date – both in terms of blogs and patches and allow the use of some pretty cool mods. I am looking forward most to an easy to use and install spam control which should decrease the amount of time I am in here deleteing posts and increase the amount of time I can actually post new blogs.
I do want to give a shout out to SMF because I love there system and if I ever need a forum system (which, with the amount of video games I play will happen sooner rather then later) I will be sure to choose them. Its just a little bigger then I need right now.
If I do switch I am going to try and save the blog posts and responses. At the very least I will be able to save the posts but lose the responses that you guys made. The polls will probably be lost since I’m not sure how to migrate those but that might be okay, since the Unicorn vs Pegasus Poll was obviously hacked (there is NO way a pegasus is better than a unicorn!!)
